Part Two
I wanted to keep this painting very simple. I didn't start out with the intention for this to be a definable shape but I see a fox so that is what it will be.
Red is added along with dark brown to create the center of interest. I may go back and make the light tan area in the upper left a bit less distracting.
See the beginning of this painting here.

Love getting to see the steps along the way, Kari. It's a great gift to get to hang out with you in your studio, so to speak.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dotty. As a beginning artist I had a hard time finding process photos and had to kind of learn by winging it (which was not all bad... it taught me a lot). Now there are plenty of instructions to be found but I still think it's fun to see the process. My process is not just like others I see either so I feel I'm giving something special.
ReplyDeleteI never get tired of seeing process, and I love how different process can be from person to person. When I read your posts and see your work I feel so encouraged. There is something very bite-sized and accessible and personal; feels happily like homeschooling vs formal education. My curiosity is fed, and I tuck away nuggets that surface in my studio at later times. All wonderful!
