The Universe is very good at giving me clear signals when it's time to slow down, cut back, or take a beak. The Universe has spoken and I must listen. I will continue the challenge to the best of my ability but not at the risk of my health. Enjoy!
"Safe Crossing"
Week one is now complete. It has been a struggle, for sure. I have no plans for the weekend other than painting and getting ahead for next week so I can take a break in the middle of the week if I need.
I'm afraid the glare got on this painting... I'm always working to correct that but sometimes the sun & clouds don't cooperate for the photographer.
My lovely bicycle was stolen recently however, when I win Lotto (or maybe someone will buy me one for my birthday) I'll get a fancy new one.
"Style Contessa"
What is it about the right hat that makes us look so amazing? I have pretty good hair but I still love a good hat. This lady seems to posess just a little more flair in this awesome hat.

This one loves the search for watery treasures, even on chilly days.
"Long Tall Sally"
Sally is the dog, at least, in my story.
Taking a closer look at the reference photos I've chosen, I notice many of them are from Annapolis, Maryland. It wasn't intentional but I do spend a lot of time there and it is a gorgeous place to photograph.
I showed this painting to some new friends and they recognized the breed of dog (I'm not knowledgeable about that kind of thing, myself) and the location of the scene... so I figure that makes this painting a success.
"Standing Room Only"
Stand-up paddle boarding is all about balance. I'm working to create more balance in my life, so this is very appropriate.
